Overview

Voice chat is an essential part of Intruder's gameplay. It is transmitted in 3D, so you hear the voices of the other players based on their positions. Everyone can hear you talking - teammates and enemies alike - so it is important to always be aware of who could be listening. Voice volume also decreases with the distance; if you want to talk to someone far away, you can use the Radio. Voice chat was officially announced in the seventh update video.

In Build 1169, microphone volume boosting and volume sliders for individual players were added.

Controls

You can either set the voice chat mode to "auto" or "manual". On "auto", you can define a volume threshold, so if your voice volume is above the threshold, the game automatically transmits your voice. On "manual", you have to press and hold a key (by default "c") to be able to speak in the game. This is very useful if you don't want to accidentally reveal your position (e.g. if you are in a noisy environment).
