Overview
In Mountainside the goal of the Intruders is to capture a briefcase or hack four computer systems. To aid in their goals, both teams have a selection of gadgets, such as the mirror camera, sensors and remote charges. Cautious play and good team communication are key to achieving victory. This map uses randomized times of day, though unlike Riverside and Cliffside it only changes between preset times. Mountainside Day and Mountainside Night are alternate versions of the map which use locked times of day.
Additional Features
Mountainside houses multiple additional features, which include but are not limited to:
- An additional capture point (helipad), which is activated via a key code from the roof shed. The locations of the code are in the middle office located in the hallway between the executive office (package room) and cubicles, as well as on the floor in the first floor camera room and in the barracks of the garden.
- Multiple camera systems, which monitor the building.
- Three mortar cannons, one located on the building roof (spotlight), which can be controlled there or from the security room, one located on stage left cliff, and another near the base of the stage right cliff.
- A helicopter, which can be activated via a large red button from multiple points in the main building. This calls in an attack helicopter, which promptly bombs the highway (intruder spawn), and the long cliff path. All that are near missile impacts are instantly killed.
- Sniper rifles that are key-code activated, both for the guards and the intruders.
Tactics
Tactics for Mountainside are currently being discussed in the official SuperbossGames Forum.
