As Intruders
If a player wishes, he can hide/camp at the intruder spawn; however, unless the map is small, this practice is highly discouraged, as it prolongs gameplay to an annoying level, and rarely succeeds. Doing this repetitively may result in consequences (i.e. hiding in an elevator shaft for many minutes, etc.)
As Guards
A guard may want to hide at the beginning of a match, primarily to guard a briefcase, capture point, or other places of interest. This is a common tactic, used by many.
