Introduction
The CustomDoorProxy is the primary way to make doors. The CustomDoorProxy script is located in the IntruderMM custom package in: "IntruderMM > Scripts" folder. It can be added onto objects via: Clicking the object that you wish to add the script to, clicking the inspector tab to see the object components, then dragging and dropping the activator script or by clicking "add component" and selecting it from the pop-up. The IntruderMM package also contains 5 prefab doors in the "IntruderMM > Prefabs" folder with the CustomDoorProxy component which can be dragged and dropped into the scene.
Usage
| Setting Name | Use |
|---|---|
| Show Door Preview | Only affects the editor, if enabled the object will preview its maximum angle (If the CustomDoorProxy gizmo is disabled the object will not preview whether enabled or not) |
| Mode: Hinged/Sliding | This option toggles whether the door will slide or rotate when interacted with. |
| Hinge | Any object dropped here will move when interacted with, it also determines the location the door will pivot (Hinged doors only) |
| Partner Door | Any object that also has the CustomDoorProxy script that is dropped here will share the same locked status. (Useful for double doors) |
| Invert Rotation (hinged only) | Changes whether the door rotates clockwise or counter-clockwise. |
| Max Angle (hinged only) | Changes the max angle the object can rotate. An object cannot rotate more than 270 degrees. |
| Start Open (%) (hinged only) | Changes the angle a door will be open to at the beginning of a round as a precent of the max angle. |
| Max Slide Distance (sliding only) | Determines how far an object is allowed to slide based on input X, Y, or Z values. |
| Lock State | Determines if the door will be locked on round start. Random setting rolls a 50/50 chance every round to choose state. |
| Can Be Lock Picked | Whether players can use the lockpick tool to unlock the door. |
