The shotgun originally fired a non-lethal beanbag round that would ragdoll players and zap their energy. When this weapon was scrapped there was an internal test where the shotgun fired a spread of shots. The random spread was seen as unpredictable so the shotgun was given slugs instead.

By default, you must pickup a [[Hammerhead]] by walking up to it and pressing "'''V'''". The H2 will appear inside your inventory and must be bound to a key, usually "'''2'''" as it is a free slot. The H2 has 24 shots, 6 of these are loaded upon pickup. Use '''Left Click''' to fire and '''Right Click''' to aim. The H2 does '''10''' HP damage, '''100''' balance damage, and '''100''' energy damage. The H2 on a successful hit will knock down an enemy for a short period of time. Gameplay details
